Italia Arte, Museo MIIT and Associazione culturale Galleria Folco curate and organize, in collaboration with the Associazione Be-Art di Francesco Barillà, the City of Scilla and the Scilla Jazz Festival, the international exhibition “VIAGGI. INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION BETWEEN MYTH, NATURE, BEAUTY.

The exhibition is therefore an important and institutional event for the enhancement of contemporary art in a historical, artistic, archaeological, cultural and social context as important as the Mediterranean Basin. As a symbolic place of this context, for the 2019 edition, Calabria and the Ruffo di Scilla Castle were chosen, WHICH PARTS OF THE PLACES OF THE HEART FAI Fund for the Italian Environment and natural outlet on the sea of many other Italian regions that have always dialogued with it from a cultural, social, historical point of view, but also, at any time and still today, place of contact, transit and departure to more or less distant lands of the Mediterranean.

The exhibition enriches the already extraordinary review of Jazz music in the city, the Scilla Jazz Festival, IDEATED AND CURATED BY FRENCH BARILLA’ AND BE ART CULTURAL ASSOCIATION with the collaboration of major public and private bodies and quickly became an international event of absolute importance, thanks to the participation of prestigious musicians from Italy and abroad.

THE INTERNATIONAL VOCATION OF THE PROJECT

Italia Arte, Museo MIIT and Associazione Culturale Galleria Folco have been working together for almost thirty years to promote modern and contemporary Italian and international art, with a view to projects involving institutional exhibition spaces, such as museums and foundations, contemporary art centres, universities, libraries, schools, academies, public and private galleries, Italian cultural institutes around the world, Italian and foreign embassies and consulates.
